Attending to a customer in Chilwell who was fed up with a Bathroom tap constantly running.

First, we isolated the water supply serving the tap.

Then using a solution of white vinegar, we attempted to descale the tap to release the headworks from the cartridge inside.

Using a tap head removal tool, we were able to remove the tap head to reveal the cartridge.

We then unscrewed the cartridge, to find that the ceramic discs inside were faulty.

Using a spline gauge to measure the diameter and number of splines we were able to find a matching cartridge from our stock.

We replaced the cartridge and reinstated the headworks, leaving the tap working like new.
